PRIVACY & SUPPORT
Your photos stay in Google Photos.
Updated September 17, 2026 · Applies to Mass Edit Google Photos.
What Mass Edit Google Photos does
When you start a batch, Mass Edit Google Photos operates the native Google Photos editor in the album you chose. It does not upload your photo files to our servers. Google receives its normal requests for editing and saving through its own service.
Records on your device
Album and photo links, filenames, dimensions, native adjustment values, filter settings, saved presets, copied looks, descriptions before and after edits, batch progress, error messages and usage records are stored locally in your Chrome browser profile. Depending on your installed version and the tools you use, these records preserve editing settings, progress, free usage and unresolved edits. Presets, copied looks and descriptions are stored locally and are not written to Chrome Sync by our code. The batch journal does not store photo pixels. Someone with access to your browser profile may be able to read these records.
Subscriptions and payments
ExtensionPay and Stripe handle checkout and purchase restoration. ExtensionPay receives account information such as your payment email and provides subscription status and payment dates to the extension. Card details are handled by the payment providers, not the extension. Our code does not send your album links, filenames or photo files to payment providers.

Chrome Sync
The payment library stores a payment-account identifier and cached provider response, which may include your email, plan, subscription status and payment dates. It uses Chrome Sync storage when available and falls back to local extension storage. If Chrome Sync is enabled, those payment records may sync through Google to your other signed-in Chrome installations. Our code stores photo links, filenames and batch journals separately in local storage, not Chrome Sync.
Analytics and support
This extension contains no usage analytics or advertising trackers, and we do not sell personal data. This website adds no analytics or advertising scripts. Hosting, Chrome Web Store and payment providers may process service data under their own policies.
If you email support, Sam Marchand receives what you choose to send and uses it to answer your request. The Copy support summary button copies version, operation, status, counts and review/error flags without photo links, filenames, descriptions, preset values or raw error text. Nothing is sent automatically. A full batch journal can contain private filenames, links and descriptions; review it before sharing. Contact us to request deletion of support correspondence, subject to any records we must retain.
Removal and cancellation
Removing the extension removes its local storage in that profile. It does not undo edits already saved to Google Photos or cancel a subscription. Use Manage subscription to cancel. Payment providers maintain their records separately. Clearing extension records also removes recovery history; resolve uncertain edits before clearing them.
